There are many tools on the Chart Tools toolbar, just one of which is the Text Tool, to place text on the chart. It has several attributes which can be changed, including: text colour, background fill, box border, text font and font size.

Over the years some users have asked if there is any limit to how much text you can put into one text box. Well, I have just stumbled over the answer, and thought it would be worth sharing.

The character count limit is 32,499.

I have a number of chart files into which I accumulate text observations evey week. And I just tried to add this week's comments, and suddenly I could not enter more characters. So I had to delete out some of the oldest text - no drama.

Cheers

32,499 - is a good limit. Who would need such a huge limit? Embarrassed

Who needs it, needs it. Better a big limit than a small one.
