1. Used to be Bullcharts remember the time period (say 1 years) I've chosen for Gann/Fib line studies. Now, it forgets it all after closing and restarting Bullcharts and shows only the most recent time period(say 1/2 years). This is really not good as the Gann/Fib lines keep changing position once time period changed even I use lock scale ratio. Suggestion: Is it possible to program the Gann/fib lines in such a way that, after confirming a gann lines, lock each gann lines by two points (10 points to remember for the 9 gann lines), forget about the angle afterward, when you change time period, bullcharts still remember the gann lines, redraw all 9 lines by re-conneting the 9 points to the starting point? 2. Full screen Gann/Fib line study shows blank screen, need to minimize and maximize the window to show the line study. OK for other indicators though. 3. Can I have HWE data for more then 4 years we have now, needs the historic high. 4. Should keep all customized preference/chart/panel... settings when upgrading bullcharts. Otherwise it is troublesome to remember and resetting all these. .... |

Some good points - esp #1. We'll have a look into these to see what can
be done. We've had different requests from different people regarding
how the timeaxis should behave when loading charts and changing
periods, so we're trying to find a balance that works for most people.
(though I don't think we're quite there yet).
For HWE, I haven't been able to find any data for that symbol beyond Dec'99. Was that when it listed, or did it change its name or ASX code? (I'm not familiar with the company myself). In general, where a company has changed its name, you can try using Insert Security (Ctrl+E) to overlay the old code on the new one. If possible, could you please send an email with screen capture to info@bullsystems.com and a sentence on steps taken re the fullscreen Gann. Thanks for the feedback |

Hi Peter, HWE - eTrade chart shows data since 1987. Can you list those different requests re timeaxis...? want to know what they want. Please please find a solution to draw Gann/Fib lines, otherwise those line study are useless and misleading once you change the time period. If you can fix it that it will be a big improvement for Bullchart. scren capture send. Thanks.

Some people want to maintain the current time axis zoom and position
when switching between symbols, others would prefer it to be reset to a
clean initial position each time. Similar requests for changing time
period.
Other things that get put into the mix include:

Just FYI My tools are affected adversly by the way bc now displays the default number of days instead of how it was left when opening a workspace. I have to zoom in on all of them to get back where I was. |

SimonSavva, I hate that bullcharts changes also as I also have to zoom in on most of my charts and especially those having Gann or Fib line study and they just change all the time which is not good I think. |

I've been doing some work in this area. Specifically to preserve the
time frame that gets saved, and also when flicking between watchlists
and scan results. Hopefully this will be the right mix for everyone.
Lots of goodies coming up in the next version. Edited by Peter |

Lots of work has been done on this area since these posts. Scaling is now preserved much better. And the Gann fan is now relative to the price and time axis, and therefore you can use any shape/size chart, and resize or zoom in on it, do whatever and it still stays in the exact place it should.
