I am trying to work out a way of finding strongly performing sectors by looking at the last weeks price action. I have looked at Market Map, Market Pyramid and Sector Performance but can't get them to do what I want.

Am I right in thinking that Market Map and Market Pyramid work on current days data only or can they be used to look at the comparative price action in sectors over other periods?

Sector performance doesn't seem to be able to sort by average percentage price movement or give an indication of comparative price movement, is this correct?

Is there some other tool I can use?

You could pick the Indices and compare (weekly) the range from previous close..
