Topic: Live Scan... Posted: 17 Jul 2005 at 12:29pm |
Using 'Live Scan' within the 'BullScans', I would like to know what the timing of the snapshots are. I see that we cannot update our snapshot within a 10 minute period which is fine, but how frequent are they updated on the server. [maybe that does not make sense ??] I thought i noticed from the TOOLS-UPDATE LIVE SNAPSHOT button [last week] a time that said 'my last snapshot was too recent' and that time was 30 minutes prior to the current time ??? example: time:3.29 I do a live bullscan - ques. is there is fixed snapshot from the server at a fixed time of say 3.24pm or 3.00pm [therefore delayed data by 5 minutes or 30 minutes] or is the data downloaded to the minute, therefore taking a snapshot at the time of the scan as in example ie. @ 3.29pm ??? I just want to confirm the workings of the live scan so I am clear about the data i am looking at or scanned for. A explanation of the snapshot frequency would be a great help. cheers etrader

When you download the live snapshot, it is live as at that time. Eg, if
you download it at 3:17pm then it is current as at 3:17pm.
To prevent overloading our servers with this new feature, we have set an initial limit of one snapshot download per 10 minutes. Ie, after downloading a snapshot, you must wait at least 10 minutes before downloading another. Once we have more information about how our servers are handling this extra load, we will reassess the 10 minute limit. |
