It would be nice to be able to graphically show Relative Percent charts to our own custom time-frames. This would be useful in pairs trading, and comparison of Sectors performing over time etc in comparison to one another. The attached chart is a brief example of some sectors which is constructed from BullCharts already [I could not see where I could change the date range], but we need to be able to set the zero value at a chosen point in time. etrader

Hi etrader,
The Relative Performace indicator may be what you're looking for. It allows you to set the starting date for calculations. So you might follow these steps: 1. Select the first security (as per normal) 2. Insert the second security (as per normal with Insert Security) 3. Optionally hide those two price plots 4. Insert the relative performance indicator for the first security 5. And again for the second security. 6. And set them to both have the same starting date, as required for your analysis. |

Looks like there's been a problem uploading images, and files. But that should be fixed now.

Perfect Peter, I had the % sign in the Name of the file, not allowing the upload properly. This is exactly what i was after, easily showing spreads and Relative strength comparisons, and even better now in the new version with the ease of adding Metastock data to the RSC. cheers etrader
