I have tried numerous ways of scanning the GICS code, but can't seem to get it to work. For example, scan for all stocks with a GICS code of 12345678 (or whatever the exact code is). The scan results are zero. I tried substituting the built-in scan for market cap eg security.marketcap (which works) but security.GICS does not work. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I know you can use the security.sector directive but I'd still like to know how to scan on GICS code.

Hmm. That should work, but doesn't. I'll look into it.
However, rather than scanning on the GICS code, it's better to use the securities tab to select the security groups that you want. The scan will run faster that way as only relevant securities are loaded, instead of all securities. (though depending on what you're trying to scan for exactly, this may not be suitable) Edited by Peter |
