Hi I have no idea if this can be done in bull script, but if some one can do the code you are a
genius.

MA Ratio - ratio between number of stocks where MA150 is above MA200 (Bull or uptrend condition) and number of stocks where MA150 is below MA200 (Bear or downtrend condition).
(ma150/ma200) / (close price/price change). The ma's to be adjustable in length and type.

Price Ratio - ratio between number of stocks where Close Price is above MA150 (Bull or uptrend condition) and number of stocks where Close Price is below MA150 (Bear or downtrend condition).
The market condition is considered Bull only if both ratios are greater than 1 (majority of industry/sector stocks are in Bull market).
(ma ratio / price ratio)

Many Thanks in advance drover

Hi Drover,

A number of stocks = an index.   So, the simple way to gauge the market is apply your Moving Average to that index.  There are numerous Indices listed in BullCharts. No coding required.

XJO = top 200 stocks.
