BullCharts 2.4.0 is now available for download.

This represents a full release of the various features that have been added in over the last couple of beta versions.

The new features since the last full release are:
(this includes features in the 2.3.2 and 2.3.3 beta versions)
  • Security manager and WatchLists now available in MetaStock mode
  • BullScan security tab now available in MetaStock mode
  • Improved custom levels in the Gann fan
  • Ability to snap line studies to the price plot
  • Can customise the default settings for line studies
  • Customizable ratios for the Gann fan
  • Trend band drawing tool
  • Indicators that can script individual bar colouring of the price plot
  • Ex Date and dividend payable date available in BullScan
  • BullScan files now saved as XML, with easier upgrade path
  • Improved behaviour of time axis when flicking through a scan or WatchList
  • Linked scan charts now merge with the default template
  • Improved description properties for scans
  • Several important bug fixes
  • Many more little tweaks to make life easier...

(Note: The actual changes between 2.3.3 beta and 2.4.0 are fairly small.. just a few bug fixes found in the beta.)

Great!! love the new features.

I've just loaded it up and I have a small hiccup, now when I want to delete a chart from my workspace how is this done? This process seems to have changed (with natural evolution of bullcharts?)

A few people have reported problems saving and loading workspaces in 2.4.0. We'll release another version some time this week to address this problem.

Damo, you can close a chart either by clicking on the cross button at the top right of the window, or by selecting close in the file menu, or by right clicking on the tab for that chart and selecting close.

Peter

In the time I have been using Bullcharts, I have noticed something funny with the cross button for closing a window, sometimes it is there and sometimes not.

The latest version is great and in particular the flip through addition to the watchlist but when will we be getting the ability to set alerts from a chart ?
